AI conversations
with your results
AI Discuss turns assessment results into a conversation.
Ask follow-up questions, explore recommendations, clarify feedback, and understand what to do next, with answers grounded in the assessment context, assessor guardrails, and respondent answers.
How AI Discuss works
Set up your AI Agent
Create an AI Discuss question in the assessment and tell AI Discuss what information to use, including scores, feedback text, recommendations, and assessor instructions. You may also define how AI Discuss should respond by giving it a clear role.

Add AI Discuss to the Results Page
Add your AI Discuss chat window to results with a simple merge string, similar to how you would add a chart or a score.
Launch your assessment
Once implemented, recipients can start chatting with AI Discuss. We recommend thoroughly testing the AI before launch to identify any guardrails you need to add.
(Optional) Bring Discussion threads into Reports
Discussions can be stored as part of the assessment response. At the same time, respondents can clear the conversation, removing the chat from any reports.
Feedback that speaks volumes
Assessment feedback often raises new questions. AI Discuss allows the recipient of results to chat with AI about the assessment outcomes. Clarify feedback, ask for examples, explore next steps, and so much more, all within your results pages.
Respondents and Assessors can use AI Discuss to ask questions like:
What should I work on first?
Why did I receive this score?
Can you explain this in simpler language?
Can you translate the feedback into French?
What does this recommendation mean for my role?
How should our team approach this result?
Can you turn this into an action plan?
Then either clear the chat history or bring the feedback and chat history into downloadable reports.
A discussion grounded in your assessment
AI Discuss uses scores, rating text, recommendations, and assessor guardrails/prompts as context, so responses stay aligned with the feedback already created in Brilliant Assessments. Clear prompts and guardrails help shape how the AI responds.
Use prompts to define:
What AI Discuss should know
Include the assessment context, scores, ratings, recommendations, or other relevant information.
How AI Discuss should respond
Ask for concise answers, supportive coaching, practical recommendations, plain language, or detailed explanations.
What role AI Discuss should play
Tell AI to act as a coach, consultant, critic, facilitator, reviewer, or any other role that fits the assessment experience.
What AI Discuss should avoid
Add instructions to keep the conversation focused, consistent, and aligned with the assessment’s purpose.
Give AI Discuss a role
Different assessments need different types of conversations. With AI Discuss, you can shape the conversation using prompts, so the AI responds in a way that suits your assessment, audience, and brand.

AI Discuss is designed to support the assessment experience, ultimately keeping assessment creators in control. You decide how the discussion is used across the wider assessment workflow.
Our commitment to responsible AI and data management
AI in Brilliant Assessments is designed to be controlled, secure, and used with clear human oversight. Assessment creators decide what context AI Discuss can use, how it should respond, and what guardrails it should follow.
AI requests are transmitted securely using TLS and HTTPS encryption, and Azure OpenAI does not use your data, prompts, or responses to train OpenAI models. Brilliant Assessments is SOC 2 Type II certified, stores data with encryption at rest, and gives you control over access to your system, data, and support permissions.
