Why integrations matter in enterprise assessment workflows
At the enterprise level, assessment software cannot operate in isolation. It needs to connect with the systems already running the business.
Respondents may come from an HR system, candidates from an applicant tracking system, customers from a CRM, or users from another internal platform. Once responses come in, results may need to update a record, trigger a follow-up, support a hiring stage, enable reporting, or feed into a wider business process.
When those connections are missing, the work falls back onto people. Teams have to move data manually, chase updates, manage spreadsheets, and keep systems aligned by hand. That slows processes down and increases the risk of mistakes, especially when assessments are being used across multiple cohorts, clients, departments, candidates, or customer groups.
This is why integrations matter. They help assessment workflows become part of the broader operating environment, rather than sitting as a separate activity outside the systems teams already use.
Brilliant Assessments offers several ways to connect assessment workflows to other systems. Zapier, Stripe, API V2 access, and webhooks are included in every subscription level. Customers can also add ready-made HRIS and ATS integrations for selected platforms.
Standard integrations included in every subscription
Brilliant Assessments includes a range of standard integration options in every subscription level, including Zapier, Stripe, self-managed API V2 access, and webhooks.
Zapier is often the simplest option for connecting Brilliant Assessments with other business tools. It can link assessment activity to thousands of applications, including CRMs, marketing platforms, eCommerce tools, and workflow systems. For example, a completed assessment could update a contact record, create a task, notify a team member, or add someone to a follow-up sequence.
Stripe is used for collecting payments. Organizations can add payment steps to assessments, reports, and initiations, which is useful for paid diagnostics, certification assessments, premium reports, and assessment-based products. A respondent can pay, start the assessment, and receive the correct report or next step without needing a separate payment process outside the assessment workflow.
API V2 access is available for organizations that need a more custom setup. With developer support, Brilliant Assessments can connect to internal systems, client portals, dashboards, or proprietary platforms. API V2 uses a stronger two-key authentication model, requiring both a public and private key for requests. It also allows partners and organizations to access the API using their own keys, so they can connect their systems while only accessing their own response data.
Webhooks can be used to send real-time notifications to external systems when responses are created, started, changed, or completed. This means connected systems can be notified when something happens in Brilliant Assessments, rather than having to repeatedly check for updates.
HRIS and ATS integrations
Available as a paid add-on, Brilliant Assessments also offers ready-made integrations with selected HRIS and ATS platforms.
HRIS stands for human resources information system. ATS stands for applicant tracking system. These integrations are most relevant for employee assessment programs, candidate assessments, and people-related workflows.
For HR teams, integrations can support leadership development, onboarding assessments, compliance checks, capability reviews, culture assessments, and ongoing reassessments. Respondents can be connected to existing employee data, making it easier to organize results by department, role, location, or other groups.
For recruitment teams, ATS integrations can support hiring assessments. A candidate might complete a skills assessment, values assessment, role-readiness assessment, or structured evaluation as part of a recruitment stage. The assessment result can then sit closer to the rest of the candidate process, rather than being managed in a separate spreadsheet or inbox.
Available integration options include platforms such as BambooHR, Greenhouse, JazzHR, Lever, Recruitee, Workable, Workday, ADP, Deel, Employment Hero, Factorial, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Oracle HCM, Paychex, Personio, Rippling, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, Xero, Zenefits, Zoho People, and others.
Connected data makes reporting more useful
Brilliant Assessments already supports individual reports, cohort reports, 360-degree feedback reports, dashboards, classifiers, benchmarks, and iterations. Integrations add value by making it easier to bring the right respondent data into those reporting structures.
If a leadership assessment is connected to employee data, results can be viewed by cohort, department, location, or role. If a recruitment assessment is integrated with an ATS, the result can support the hiring workflow rather than sit in a separate file. If a paid diagnostic is integrated with Stripe and a CRM, the assessment can become part of a sales or client-delivery process.
This is where connected workflows start to change how assessments are managed. The assessment itself becomes one part of a wider process, with data moving more easily between the systems that need it.
Fewer manual steps, fewer errors
Manual data transfer is often where mistakes happen. The assessment may be well-designed, the scoring may be accurate, and the report may be useful, but the work around it can still become messy if every step depends on a person moving information between systems.
Integrations reduce the number of handoffs. They can support respondent creation, invitations, payment access, webhook notifications, completion updates, reporting workflows, CRM updates, HR records, candidate records, and follow-up activity.
For a small team, this saves time. For a larger organization, it also reduces risk. The more often a process runs, the more valuable it becomes to remove repeated manual tasks.
Making assessments part of the wider business workflow
Enterprise assessments are most valuable when they connect with the systems and processes around them. Integrations help organizations move from isolated assessment activity to more connected workflows across payments, HR, recruitment, reporting, customer management, and follow-up.
Brilliant Assessments gives organizations several ways to make those connections, from simple no-code workflows through Zapier, to payment processing with Stripe, to API and webhook options for more customized integrations. For people-related workflows, ready-made HRIS and ATS integrations can also help assessments sit closer to employee and candidate data.
