Webinar: Results in Brilliant Assessments

Webinar Summary

“Results” is an on-screen, interactive dashboard for assessments. It shows everything you’d normally put in a downloadable report, plus extras that work better on a web page (drill-downs, filters, embedded video). It’s included for existing customers at no extra cost, and in all new plans with no price change.

What are Results

  • Interactive dashboards: Click to drill into sections/subsections and see score-based rating text.

  • Conditional content: Show links or videos only to respondents who need them (e.g., targeted tips, product demos, training clips).

  • Reusable logic: Built with the same merge strings used in reports, so your existing reporting logic carries over.

  • Always current: Dashboard links stay live and update as more responses arrive.

  • Flexible distribution: Add to completion pages and emails; admins/partners can open any respondent’s Results view directly.

Core scenarios

  1. Individual completion page

    • After “Finish,” respondents see their dashboard alongside the report download button.

    • You can also email a link to this dashboard (same or different layout than the on-screen view).

  2. Cohorts (teams, 360s, departments)

    • Cohort dashboard with status charts (e.g., stacked bars), distributions, averages, and drill-downs.

    • More details” expandable panels (by respondent, role, or any classifier).

    • Send with the cohort results email (after minimum completions) or the progress email (before close) to show who’s completed vs. pending. Links remain dynamic.

  3. Organization/partner landing

    • Branded, organization-wide dashboards (e.g., histograms, heat maps).

    • Filters for standard fields (assessment, date range, cohort, etc.) and custom classifiers (e.g., role, location) to slice results (e.g., just “Austin”).

  4. Assessor inside a response (less common)

    • Embed a dashboard so an assessor can review cohort answers before adding scores/comments.

Building a Results dashboard (high level)

  • Choose a type: Individual, Cohort, Organization, or Summary (combines multiple assessments).

  • Use containers: “Always showing” sections and “On demand” sections for drill-downs/More details; brand with colors, spacing.

  • Add tiles: Drag-drop sizes; style background, borders, padding, corners.

  • Populate with merge strings & charts: e.g., donut for overall score, percentage + rating text, vertical bars for subsections. Support for dynamic merge parameters enables context-aware drill-downs.

  • Preview with test data and wire tiles to drill-down containers (set drill-down + target container).

Delivery & support

  • Include Results in completion emails, cohort result emails, and progress emails; links auto-refresh with new data.

  • Customer Success can help design dashboards and troubleshoot merge strings.
